Kara Nunnally serves as Executive Director of the Durham Library Foundation, a non-profit that funds a margin of excellence for the Durham County Library System. In her spare time, she is also pursuing her dream on the water - building a shellfish farm in Eastern North Carolina. Kara has worked in sales for solar PV asset management software at Raptor Maps, community-based environmental work at the North Carolina Coastal Federation, sales and brand management at Adwerx, and fundraising and development at Elon University. Kara holds an MEM in Coastal Environmental Management from the Nicholas School at 91ÉçÇø¸£Àû, an MBA from Elon University, and a B.A. in History from James Madison University. She enjoys going to museums and historical sites, checking out different breweries and vineyards, and listening to an audiobook or podcast about true crime or personal development. When not in Durham, you can usually find her at a North Carolina beach, paddleboarding, fishing, or swimming.
