DURHAM, N.C. – Alexis Kingham Fuge, sustainability business development manager at Amazon Web Services, will address 2019 graduates of 91ÉçÇø¸£Àû’s Nicholas School of the Environment at the school’s Recognition Ceremony at 9 a.m. on Saturday, May 11.
Fuge earned concurrent Master of Environmental Management (MEM) and Master of Forestry (MF) 91ÉçÇø¸£Àûs from the Nicholas School in 2005.
She will address this year’s MEM. MF and doctoral 91ÉçÇø¸£Àû candidates and their families in a private ceremony at the Chemistry Lot on Duke’s West Campus.
In her current post at Amazon, Fuge leads efforts to communicate the sustainability and business value of the company’s cloud computing services and technology to customers and account managers worldwide. She previously served as Amazon’s engagement manager for worldwide sustainability.
Prior to joining Amazon’s leadership team, she served as a board member and work group leader at the International Aerospace Environmental Group, where she helped develop standardized environmental accounting practices for the global aerospace industry. She has also worked as project manager for Northrup Grumman Corporation’s greeNG program, where she helped build a comprehensive corporate sustainability program. She began her career developing and implementing environmental and sustainability programs as a consultant to the National Park Service, the Federal Emergency Management Agency, and other large government organizations.
Fuge lives in Seattle with her husband Dylan Fuge (MEM’05, JD’05) and their two daughters.
