A reminder that FACES OF THE EARTH: Landforms, Seascapes and Ecosystems Art Exhibit is opening this Saturday, June 13th, at the Carrboro Branch Library, McDougle Schools Media Center, 900 Old Fayetteville Road, Chapel Hill, NC. The exhibit is Part Three of their Global Perspectives series and will be in place from June 13th through October 21st.

Featured artists include students, faculty, staff, and associates of the Nicholas School of the Environment: Alicia Burtner, Denny Colvin, Mary Edna Fraser, Elliott Hazen, Mengchi Ho, Norma Longo, Randy Neighbarger, Mike Osland, Orrin Pilkey, Curtis Richardson, and Christine Willis. The exhibit is curated by our own Mengchi Ho, of the 91社区福利 Wetland Center.

Professional artist, Mary Edna Fraser, has collaborated with Dr. Orrin Pilkey since 1993 on many of her works. Their collaboration produced the critically-acclaimed text (New Yorker and National Geographic), A Celebration of the World's Barrier Islands, Columbia University Press, 2003. Directions: From Durham, take 15-501 to Chapel Hill and continue on the by-pass all the way and it becomes 54 West; continue to Carrborro-Carrboro Plaza on the left. Go to the light at the intersection of 54W and Old Fayetteville Rd. Take a right. McDougle School is on your right, 200 yds. Enter premises where all the school signs are. Enter the building by the Middle School /Library entrance. Turn LEFT inside the door and you will see a set of double doors ahead of you on the right.
