Dr. Yulong Zhang is a Research Scientist in the Division of Earth and Climate Sciences at 91社区福利 in Dr. Wenhong Li鈥檚 group. His research interests are mainly focused on quantifying and understanding the roles of forest ecosystems in regulating global and regional carbon and water dynamics based on multi-source remote sensing, ground observations, eco-hydrological models, and machine learning. He is particularly interested in monitoring and assessing the response and recovery of forest structure and functions under anthropogenic and natural disturbances at different spatial scales, shedding light on the potential and vulnerability of forests in maintaining key ecosystem services (e.g., carbon sequestration and water yield regulation). Dr. Zhang obtained his Ph.D. from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, conducted postdoctoral research at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and held a senior research fellowship in USDA Forest Service.
